Shaving Cream Art

This is one reason why we love Harper's baby school. They do cool things like shaving cream art! I love how Harper is very modest and has covered all of her...ummm...questionable parts!

I didn't know they even did this activity until I saw the pictures. Now that I think of it, I thought Harper smelled a little manly when I picked her up the other day...

After becoming a parent, things come out of my mouth that I never thought I would say. For instance, last night I actually had to say the following to Harper: Stop putting my sweatshirt draw string in your mouth to use as a paintbrush to put your spit on my face. Yep. That happened.

Feel Good Friday

I saw this story on CNN and I thought it would be perfect for Feel Good Friday.

Then I watched it a second time and it reminded me of something else I've seen recently.

Hearing things like this make me feel a little yucky inside because I realize that I put way too much emphasis on fairness and I allow my world to be small. I am going to be more conscious of leaving corners and expanding my world. More on that later.... In what ways can you leave a corner?

New Addition

There was a new addition to Harper's baby school class this morning...a mini hamster! I had never heard of a mini hamster, but apparently, they exist. I can't say that it's any smaller than a regular hamster, but it is definitely fuzzier. The kids were totally mesmerized by Despereaux (that's his name - the teacher's daughter named him). Harper already loves baby school. But now, I'm afraid she'll never want to leave...

Worst Christmas Songs Ever

What's your least favorite Christmas song? This is an easy question for me to answer. It's a tie between Mary Did You Know and Same Old Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg. The cheese factor is exceptionally high for both. I know a lot of people love these songs but, I can't stand them. So... What's your least favorite Christmas song?
