Until Next Year

Is anybody else glad that today is not Halloween? I am. I'm over it. We celebrated for a good three days straight. It was fun, but I'm glad it's over.

Harper feels differently. The first thing out of her mouth this morning was "trick-or-treat".

We did a little trick-or-treating last night. We hit about ten houses on our street, then headed home to give out candy. Harper said that she wanted to give all the kids candy and shake their hands. Future politician? I sure hope not.

Gator Chomp

Harper's baby school threw a Halloween party. The kids all dressed up in their costumes and the parents were invited to stop by. Since my mom was in town last week, we all went to the party together.

The little guy in the puppy suit is Harper's best buddy at school. They tickle each other and fight to sit next to each other for lunch and snacks!

I don't care what Mother Nature says, gators and zebras can be friends!

And gators and monsters can too!

My mom is a teacher and her teaching instincts kicked in right away. She read a book to all the little kids.

Then it was snack time!
The obligatory cheesy smile face.

This was pretty much my favorite part of the party:

Science Friday - Halloween Edition

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween! Here is the next installment of Guess the Body Part. These two pictures are of the same thing. The top one is a cross section of the structure that has been stained with haematoxylin and eosin.  The bottom picture was taken using a scanning electron microscope. Ok, send me your guesses (and remember, this is the Halloween Edition - hint, hint).

Disclaimer - I didn't take either one of these pictures.
