Take Me Out To The Ball Game

What a great day for baseball. The Nashville Sounds took on the New Orleans Zephyrs and we were there to take it all in.

The Sounds have the coolest scoreboard in all of baseball. 

Harper thoroughly enjoyed herself. 

The only thing better than getting a new pink hat is getting pink cotton candy to match. 

Yay for warm sunny days and yay for baseball!

We went to a baseball game with some friends last night. I think the highlight of the night was watching Harper's first experience with cotton candy.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

We had a family outing to the ball park last night to see the Nashville Sounds take on the Oklahoma City Red Hawks. It was great. We braved the weather and had an awesome time. Here are some cell phone pictures of our night.

This kid has a serious attention span for a two year old. She loved watching all the action.

It did sprinkle periodically, but she didn't care one bit. And I only cared half of one bit.

Right when we walked into the stadium, a super nice usher gave Harper a batting practice ball. She slept with it last night.

Such a fun night. I think we just might have to do it again.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Harper went to her first official baseball game on Saturday. The Nashville Sounds are the minor league team affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers. The game was great. The Sounds won in the 10th inning. Harper loved it. Every time the crowd cheered, she thought they were cheering for her. We had great seats - so good, in fact, that James Denton from Desperate Housewives was sitting right in front of us (although I no idea who he was until someone pointed him out to me). Harper was way more interested in the mascot, Ozzie,  than she was in trying to spot celebrities. She was also very interested in the ballpark food - even getting her first (of many to come) taste of a Coke Icee. She also watched her first fireworks display and loved it - not a single flinch. Outings like this remind me that we were blessed with a pretty good kid. It was a long night, but she was really good the whole time. We will definitely have to go to another game soon.

Sound asleep only to wake up clapping when the Sounds made a great catch. I think she's going to be an avid baseball fan.
