Mystery Solved!

At 10:08 pm last night, I finally found my cell phone. Harper hid it in the closet. I should have known to look there - one of her favorite activities is pulling out all of my socks from the sock drawer and putting them in the closet. She's a tricky one. I am so relieved to have found it. I even surprised myself with how worked up I got when I thought it was gone for good. The funny part is that I don't even use my cell phone all that often. I just like knowing that I have it if I need it. Anyway, the mystery is solved. My phone has returned to its rightful place in my pocket. And I am now aware that my daughter has sticky fingers...

In other news, I am going to pick a winner in the naming contest this weekend. So if you haven't gotten your suggestions in yet, hurry up already! 

Science Friday - Naming Contest Edition

It's contest time again! Science Friday needs a new name. I don't want to keep ripping off the real Science Friday, and frankly, we can come up with a better name anyways. So here's where the contest part comes in. Suggest a name for my weekly science-related posts. The one I pick will receive a gift card of some sort. Put your thinking caps on, be creative, and leave your suggestions in the comment section.

"UE and I have discussed this. (And I'm talking about when it gets up over $100 million.) We'd pay off the homes of all our families and close friends. We'd give enough to the church to be able to fund a FULLY staffed children and family minitry (but not so much that volunteers wouldn't be necessary). Then we'd build an academy for underpriveliged children that would employ all family and friends who wanted to work there to teach, coach, mentor, and spiritually guide a new generation of upright and Christian citizens. Contest Time!

Every morning, I drive past a billboard that tells me how high the Powerball lottery jackpot is and every morning, I dream about how I would spend the money that I just know I am going to win someday. Never mind the fact that I probably only buy two lottery tickets a year. I am going to win the big one some day. And when I do, I know how I'm going to spend every penny of it. Here are a few of my purchases. 

• In the practical category, I would put a big hunk of the money in a trust fund for Harper.
  
• In the gift category, I would take my family and friends on a cruise.
• In the splurge on myself category, I would buy a black thunderbird with custom red leather interior.
